(Manual) Removing the agent on maC

Manually uninstall the agent from your macOS endpoints.

Use the Forcepoint agent app found in System Preferences to uninstall.

Before you can proceed with uninstalling the agent, generate the release code. See section Release code.

Steps

  1. Open System Preferences, then click Forcepoint Neo.
    Alternatively, you can also launch the uninstaller from the command line by running the following command:
    sudo /Library/Application\ Support/Forcepoint/Neo/EP/Forcepoint\ Neo\ Uninstaller.app/Contents/MacOS/Forcepoint\ Neo\ Uninstaller
  2. Click Uninstall Forcepoint Neo.
  3. Enter the release code provided by the administrator, then click Uninstall to run the installer. For more information on how to generate a release code, see the sections Generate endpoint specific maintenance code, Generate master release code, or Neo release code.
  4. Confirmation messages display for the System Extension and Network Extension. Enter your credentials, then click OK.
  5. A success message displays. Click OK.
    Note: To review the logs, navigate to /Library/Logs/com.forcepoint.neo/uninstall/uninstall.log
