Testing the reverse proxy application from Forcepoint ONE SSE user portal

Users can also access Microsoft 365 reverse proxy application from the Forcepoint ONE SSE user portal.

Steps

  1. Log into the Forcepoint ONE SSE user portal using Forcepoint ONE SSE credentials.
After successful authentication, you are re-directed to https://login.microsoftonline.com.
  2. Sign into the Microsoft 365 login page with Microsoft Entra ID user credentials.

After successful authentication, you are then redirected to Forcepoint ONE SSE user portal.

On the Forcepoint ONE SSE user portal page, you will see a Microsoft 365 tile with Microsoft Entra ID RP text indicating this tile is for Microsoft Entra ID reverse proxy and the domain name at the bottom of the tile.

  3. When you click on the Microsoft 365 tile, you are directed to reverse proxy URL, that is login-microsoftonline-com.<username domain>.<tld>.
  4. Re-authenticate the reverse proxy URL using Microsoft Entra ID user credentials for the second time.
After successful authentication, you can now access Microsoft 365 applications.
  5. Verify that the URL is www-office-com.btglss.net/ which means that your Microsoft 365 traffic is going though Forcepoint ONE SSE to provide visibility and data protection.
