Forcepoint DLP for Cloud Email helps prevent data leaks via the email channel.
The current implementation works with external outbound emails that are sent from the organization's email server (Microsoft Office 365 or Google Gmail). Working with the Forcepoint Data Protection Service running on AWS, the external outbound emails are scanned against the Forcepoint DLP policies, and a recommended action is sent back to the organization's email server (Microsoft Office 365 or Google Gmail) via an X-Header (X-Forcepoint-DLP-Email). The organization can decide on the actual action to be taken on the email based on the organizational policies. The action determined (allow or block) from the scan is not enforced as such, it is just a recommended action.
