Enabling permissions for Google shared drive scanning

Google Shared Drive scanning requires certain permissions for the Google Admin user that are used to authenticate. These permissions are different than those required for general Google API scanning.

Follow the below steps to make sure the permissions are enabled for the Google Admin:

Steps

  1. Sign in to Google Admin console.
  2. From the Admin console Home page, go to Users.
  3. In the Users list, type the user email and click the user's name to open the user details page.
  4. Under Admin Roles and Privileges > Privileges > Admin console privileges > Services > Drive and Docs > Settings, make sure following permissions are selected.
