SmartEdge Agent and F1A Interoperability

You can interoperate SmartEdge agent and F1A for managed app traffic and web traffic.

Interoperability requires the following version of the respective agents on your devices:

  • SmartEdge agent 2.1.0 or later version
  • F1A 23.12 or later version
SmartEdge Agent and F1A can interoperate in the following modes:
  • Managed App traffic only - In this mode, all the CASB traffic is proxied by SmartEdge agent while F1A proxies all other traffic.
  • All HTTP/S Traffic - In this mode, all traffic (managed app traffic and (SWG) web traffic) arrives first at SmartEdge Agent and forwarded to F1A when required.
    Note: Currently, SmartEdge Agent only supports CASB and SWG channels and does not support the ZTNA channel while interoperating with F1A. So, in all supported cases, make sure that the Enable ZTNA Driver checkbox is unchecked on the Protect > Forward Proxy > SmartEdge Proxy page.
