Data Register

The Data Register allows you to identify and manage your organization’s critical data, organized by owning department / business group. This register serves as the central hub for identifying important data, assigning ownership, and applying rules for data protection and compliance.

To build the Data Register, you create Security Posture policies. These policies:

• Define the critical data assets owned by different departments / business groups.
• Assign the Data owner.
• Use GQL to identify data assets belonging to each policy.

Then, in the Data Asset Inventory, you assign metadata tags to the data assets matching each policy.
