Integrating Forcepoint ONE Data Security with Forcepoint ONE SSE SWG

You can integrate Forcepoint ONE SSE with Forcepoint ONE Data Security so that Forcepoint ONE SSE can enforce DLP policy and associated actions setup in Forcepoint ONE Data Security for SWG channel in Forcepoint ONE SSE.

Note: The procedure to integrate Forcepoint ONE SSE SWG with Forcepoint ONE Data Security is similar to integrating with on-premises FSM. To know the steps in detail, refer to Forcepoint DLP and Forcepoint ONE SSE SWG Integration Guide.

To fully integrate Forcepoint ONE Data Security with Forcepoint ONE SSE SWG, follow the high level steps below:

Steps

  1. In Forcepoint ONE SSE, upload the JSON file provided with your Forcepoint order confirmation mail as part of the on-boarding process or requested from Forcepoint ONE SSE Technical Support.

    This is to ensure that Forcepoint ONE SSE can interact with Forcepoint ONE Data Security and implement policies configured in Forcepoint ONE Data Security.

    To upload JSON file in Forcepoint ONE SSE, refer to Upload DPS license JSON on Forcepoint ONE SSE.

  2. In Forcepoint ONE SSE, navigate to Protect > Objects > Common Objects page and click Export URL Category XML link on the Custom URL Categories tile to download the predefined and custom URL categories.
  3. In Forcepoint ONE Data Security, upload the downloaded predefined and custom URL categories file from Forcepoint ONE SSE.

    These URL categories can be used while configuring DLP policies for SWG channel.

  4. In Forcepoint ONE Data Security, configure a data protection policy for Web destination.

  5. In Forcepoint ONE SSE, configure SWG content policy for web traffic.
  6. In Forcepoint ONE Data Security, review the alert generated for web traffic. For details, refer to Alert details.
  7. On Forcepoint ONE SSE, review event information. For details, refer to View event information on the Forcepoint ONE SSE.
