Running and Managing Scans
Scan Progress
After starting a scan, you can see the last updated time and a running count of how many emails have been scanned. A scan typically completes in seconds for a small mailbox; larger sets of mailboxes take longer.
UI refresh: The status display may continue to show an in-progress state even after a scan finishes. Refresh the page, or switch to another connector and back, to
see the updated status and counts.
Selecting a completed scan shows when it was created and when it completed, along with the number of emails scanned.
Scan Actions
Each scan configuration offers the following actions:
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Start email scan | Runs the scan again using the same configuration — useful when you have sent new test emails and want to re-scan. |
| Cancel scan | Stops a scan that is currently running. |
| Rescan scheduler | Sets a recurring cadence (daily, weekly or monthly) at a specific time and time zone — for example Asia/Kolkata for Indian time. The scan then runs automatically at the chosen day and time. |
| Permissions | Shows which permissions apply to the configuration (such as move files, revoke permission, cloud tagging and scanning). |
| Scan history | Shows all scans run on this configuration, so you can review historical runs. |
| View user actions | Shows an audit log of user activity, including the username, the module accessed, the type of operation performed, and the timestamp (date and time) it was carried out. |
| Edit configuration | Lets you change the credential or the name. The path (scope) cannot be changed. |
| Delete configuration | Removes the configuration. |
